4 Ways to Take Action to Support S.T.E.M. Education

 

As you know, the four “pillars” of S.T.E.M.—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—have become critical components of primary and secondary education as the careers supported by these fields have grown in prominence in recent years. S.T.E.M. education provides students the basic foundation for a career in a number of rapidly developing careers, from aeronautics, cyber security, and robotics to energy, medicine, and high-tech. But without proper funding, S.T.E.M. education initiatives in our schools can only be so successful—and that impacts all of us.

That’s why we need Congress to increase investment in S.T.E.M. programs that will enrich our children’s education. Please work with your colleagues in both the House and Senate to make S.T.E.M. education the national priority it should be.
